The Floral Design Certificate of Completion prepares you for an entry-level position in the floral design industry. This comprehensive program introduces a variety of floral design skills and techniques.
Earn your certificate of completion as a professional credential in floral design or take the floral courses simply for the pleasure of working with flowers. Create a beautiful floral arrangement each session to enjoy at home. 75 per cent of our floral instructors are Canadian Accredited Floral Designers (C.A.F.D.), giving students an exceptional learning opportunity.
Program Notes
Limit of 18 students per course. The Floral Design course content and learning is structured to benefit students most when taken in order of Level 1, then Level 2 and last Level 3. All flowers and plant materials are included in floral course fees, but students are asked to bring some of their own supplies, for example floral tools, a bucket, newsprint and garbage bags. Requirements vary by course. Details are provided on the registration confirmation for registered students.
Earning Your Certificate of Completion
Complete the three required floral courses (54 hours) with a minimum of 80% attendance.

Historical Floral Designs
Since the beginning of time, flowers have reflected various lifestyles, values and special occasions. Floral art of today has been influenced by floral history, colour trend, designs and decorations. Explore floral history concepts and practical application for Roman-Greek, Renaissance, Baroque, Victorian, American Colonial and Art Nouveau designs.

Corsage Workshop
Enhance your ability to create exciting fresh floral corsages. This 6-hour workshop reviews proper wiring techniques, pricing, new products, hot glues and their application, and knowledge of appropriate body flowers. Basic Hand-Tied Bouquet
Make a round hand-tied bouquet using a grouping technique and finishing off the stems with a French knot design using raffia. Take home a beautiful rose hand-tied arrangement you created yourself. A glass vase is provided for you to display your flowers.
