Academic Advising will offer drop-in appointments from September 5 until the add/drop deadline, September 13, on a first come, first served basis for students in Academic Upgrading, Open Studies, University Entrance Option, or switching programs at MRU. Please visit our office in D101 in the Main Building or call us at 403-440-6222 to join the waitlist. Drop-in starts at 9:00 a.m. and ends at approximately 4:00 p.m., subject to availability.

New or continuing students in University Entrance Option

Shortly after you accepted your offer for UEO, you would have received an email with the subject “Mount Royal University - new UEO student advising”. This email includes a link to your UEO Advising Guide, which details admission information and course recommendations based on your goal program.

Once you've reviewed your UEO Advising Guide and the UEO FAQ, if you still have additional questions, you may book a 30-minute advising appointment through the links below. Appointments are available up to one week in advance. You may choose to meet with the same advisor each time you come, but this is not required. If you are flexible about which advisor you meet with, you can check each calendar for the most convenient time.

Registration support

If you have connected with your Academic Advisor and are clear on which classes you should take, but need help creating your class schedule and navigating the registration system, you can meet with a Registration Peer. Registration Peers are experienced MRU students who will show you how to use the various MRU registration-related systems, including MyMRU, the Registration Landing Page, My Schedule Builder, program planning guides, the MRU website, and more.

Please note that the Registration Peer is unable to answer any advising-related questions, including how many courses to take, which courses to take, or how to meet admission requirements. This appointment is solely for support with navigating the registration system.

To book a registration support appointment with a Registration Peer, please contact your Academic Advisor, as these appointments are available by referral only. The registration support appointment schedule varies. Slots will become available for booking 7 days in advance.
